+Outfit+ Bathroom Mirror Edition

I don't normally take outfit photos in my bathroom mirror but this day I had no other choice :)

It's hard to balance yourself on 5" wedges and take a steady picture of yourself.
I painted these shorts the night before. There's my headscarf worn as a belt this time.

Mirror "selfies" are awkward and silly but I had to share with you my Fourth of July outfit!

Rug by Ikea, face wash by Neutrogena, Dina boots by JC (obvi)...

Happy Fourth of July America!

EZ-DIY: Tinted Lip Balm *that doesn't dry out your lips*

I carry a tub of Vaseline everywhere I go. It is amazing for chapped lips/skin! So you can imagine my excitement when I came across THIS DIY!

1) All you need is Vaseline and any color eyeshadow or blush. I used purple eyeshadow because I knew it would create the dark tint I was going for that is similar to my lipstick that dries my lips out.

2) SMASH the eyeshadow *smash smash SMASH* until you get that pretty colored dust and sprinkle it onto a clump of Vaseline.

3) Swirl it around until the dust is mixed perfectly with the Vaseline. I love this color!!!

And, ta-da! You have a tinted Vaseline-based lip balm! So in love and so ready to create more tints!

You're Welcome For Sharing ;)

Harley Davidson tee + Lace

This Harley Davidson tee was having some issues. So I fixed it by adding a lace back to it! First sewing project since the beginning of She'll Be in Black :)

(see...)

(ta da!)

(...me glaring at the f***ing snow outside.)

Tequila Sunrise Tank + Decorated Jean Shorts

Happy May Day! It's snowing. Blerg!

At the beginning of the week I decided to decorate my denim shorts because that's the thing to do right now. I had some studs laying around so naturally I put a few near the pockets. I also bought a small bottle of fabric paint and, being inspired by the album cover of Joy Division "Unknown Pleasures" (true story), decided to try and paint some obscure ridges on my jeans. Well, it turned out like so and I paired it with this crazy sheer top I found at a Second-Hand Store. I'm pretty sure it's for children lol. I'm playing dress up inside because it is so damn cold outside!

(hi)

(check out my new ink! Gypsy babe wearing a fox headdress! Hott!

(so sad the weather sucks right now. so not in-shape for the summer anyways.)

I leave you with the Joy Division's full album, "Unknown Pleasures"! Love!

Stylish Living: Framed Lyrics Wall Art

+Print out what you want to write on the glass and tape it to the back! Use a painter pen to trace your lyrics!

+Remove glass. Spray paint frame any color you choose. Of course I did black. Also, isn't this spray can adorable?

+That's it!

It turned out so well that I had to make two and give one to my friend!
Lyrics are from Robyn - "Dancing On My Own"

Stylish Living +Projects 1-4/10+

Up to this point, I've shared with you my personal style but what you don't know is that I like to keep my living space just as stylish. That is why I've come up with 10 projects that I want to accomplish in my living space and share with you my progress! I haven't set myself a deadline yet to accomplish all 10 projects but I am going to do 4 at a time, with 2 being the finales (for no reason in particular...).

1) Find an Apartment Currently, I am living with my parents in the home I grew up in and as wonderful as they are, how glorious free-rent is, and how much I've come to love my bedroom here, it is time to go... again. I do all my work and play in the city which is miles and miles away so a place in Denver would definitely save me some time and gas money. Already my friend and I have been looking for places but our move out goal is May 1st- giving us time to find the perfect little bungalow for our two crazy-awesome lives.

2) Jewelry Display Frames I came across these frames in my old bedroom, put some nails into them and hung my jewelry on them. The nails weren't very secure so eventually everything fell off of them. I have better ideas on how to design these frames and make them more functional at the same time. Those statement pieces can be real heavy and need a secure location to be displayed.

3) Personalized Picture Display As you may have noticed, I dabble in photography. In this big space above my bed I'd like to display a set of my own photographs on wood canvases! Still haven't picked a subject but I already know who will be printing them for me!

4) Mason Jar Night Light I bought this mason jar to stuff stringed lights into and have as a night light BUT I was never able to find stringed lights! Well, I'm ready to try harder and finish this project already.

Do you have any projects you'd like to work on to style up your living space? //

Hand Painted Mirror Earrings +Protocols+

(All hand-painted by Me, all crafted by Me: Fuck, White Out, Grid, Love Sucks/Love Rules, Polka Dot Mirror Earrings)
Daylight Savings made for a super long day. I found myself anxious as hell and wanting to do something Strange-Crafty. So... this is what I came up with. I'd like to redo the ones with text on them because my handwriting is pretty awful when using a toothpick. I really want to make more with text on them. Curse words on your clothing + accessories are always fun and definitely statement makers.

"Amor Fati" +Pre Valentines Day+

(hat - H&M, sweater - hand painted Hanes crew neck sweater, faux leather leggings - Forever21, platform sandals - Joe's Jeans, bracelet - thrifted, gold chain necklace - gift from Grandma, jewelry box - gift from Sister)

Not to dive too deeply into my personal life, I have felt a little anti-love in the past year and a half since the ending of a very serious relationship of mine. And with the trend of upside-down crosses circling around, I felt it would be sort of funny to create this upside-down heart pattern, instead, to show my bit of disbelief for love (haha, get it?). I came up with this geometric shaped heart because, well to be frank, upside-down hearts look like mens' balls and that's just something I didn't feel like rocking on my sweater. I used acrylic paint rather than fabric paint for no reason in particular. It did dry pretty stiff but because it is a spaced out pattern it doesn't bother me much. Also, I made sure the paint was water proof. It has it's flaws which only shows that it is hand-made and one of a kind. I really like how it turned out!

What's Your Lucky #? +DIY+

I did a last minute DIY project today with these numbered mosaic tiles I picked up a couple weeks ago. I simply used E6000 glue to attach the numbers together. Then I glued the tiles to a pair of earrings that I didn't wear! They're bold, fun, easy to make and definitely a conversation starter.

13 and 7 are my lucky numbers. What are yours?
P.S. Remember when "#" was called the pound sign or symbolized "number". Where did HASHTAG come from??!?!?!
P.P.S. I wikipedia-ed that and found out that "#" has always meant HASH in COMMONWEALTH ENGLISH, not American English. Hmmm... was I supposed to know that already? Haha
